For students entering grades 6-9 as of this Fall. This program is for students who have attended ICSD or for students who have substantial prior experience in competitive speech and debate. ACSD will take students on a deep dive into one or two competitive events and develop event-specific skills. We offer courses in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Parliamentary Debate, Public Forum Debate, Interpretation, Original/Platform Speech, and Spontaneous/Limited Prep Speech.
We will use NSDA preliminary topic lists for Lincoln-Douglas and Public Forum. Students in ACSD will be split into small groups with expert instructors based on prior experience. Newer students will focus on solidifying event-specific skills, while more experienced students will engage in advanced seminars, drills, and fall topic prep and/or speech drafting.

- Debate: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
On Friday, we will hold a miniature tournament, where students can practice the skills they have learned throughout the week!

Speech & Debate Summer Camp
